To prevent flakes of your eyeshadow from resting on your cheeks while doing your eyes, here’s what you can do:

Place some translucent powder right under your eyes just before you do your eye makeup. Thus, when your eyeshadow falls down, you can easily brush it off with a big brush that’s clean. This powder guard will help to prevent the eyeshadow from sticking to your skin and making it harder to get off. Also, this is a great tip especially for loose powder eyeshadows.
