Snow has fallen! It’s officially winter and what better time to bring the shimmers out. I’ll be doing a series of winter looks over the next few months and here’s my first.
For Face: Shu Uemura’s Black Compact Foundation, M.A.C.’s eyeshadow in Vanilla (I don’t have a highlighter with me and this works fine) and H&M’s Blush in 15 Bronze.
For Eyes: Urban Decay’s Primer Potion, Cyber Colors’ eyeshadow in Opal 06, M.A.C.’s eyeshadows in Nylon and Vanilla, the 2 darkest shades in Chanel’s Quadra Eyeshadow Palette in 08 Vanites, the black shade in Bourjois’ Smoky Eyes Palette in 01 Gris Dandy, L’Oreal’s HIP Color Chrome Eyeliner in 910 Black Shock and Dior’s Diorshow Extase mascara. I filled my brows in with Bobbi Brown’s eyeshadow in Chocolate Mauve.
For Lips: Labello’s lip balm and Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Lip Colour in Dusty Mauve.
For this look, I did not use a blush. Instead, I focused on highlighting and contouring to go with the eyes. Because makeup is versatile, I used M.A.C.’s eyeshadow in Vanilla as my highlighter and it worked pretty well! Somehow, my double eyelids disappeared with the makeup I used. Sob.
I also think I need to get a better camera, one that can take indoor self portraits very well. I’ve tried many times to adjust the settings of my Casio Exilim but it’s no good. Plus, I haven’t a tripod and I must say I’ve got pretty short arms. Any sponsors? =)
