Fairy Drops Mascara

Fairy Drops mascara.

My previous Bourjois Volumizer mascara dried so I dropped by Watsons to get a new Fairy Drops mascara. I’d wanted the one I got before, which is the Fairy Drops Platinum (Film Type) mascara but they didn’t have it.

I’ve got mixed feelings about this mascara. For one, it’s a very, very, VERY waterproof mascara. It definitely, 100%, does not flake off nor smudge. I hadn’t known it was waterproof and so the first time I tried to wash it off with just water, it stayed on perfectly. After that, I tried to use a facial cleanser from Skinfood but it didn’t come off either. Then I used body foam and though some of it came off, some still held strong. It wasn’t till I used my Shu Uemura facial cleanser that it came off easily. I’m not saying that you need the cleanser from Shu Uemura but it’s the only cleanser I use for complete makeup removal and the only real cleanser I own. It took me a total of 2-3 days to realise just how waterproof this is. Therefore, if you do watersports (or maybe get married), I highly recommend this product!

I’m not a fan of super duper waterproof products because I like to be able to remove them easily at the end of the day, when I’m tired and all. This mascara isn’t really one of those fibre types either. My lashes were definitely lengthened but I still prefer fibre mascaras.
