I wanted to get some new makeup but didn’t manage to find anything interesting or worth my money. In addition to that, the makeup items that I wanted to get, like the M.A.C. Mineralise Eyeshadow, were all out of stock. I almost went home empty-handed, if not for the fact that I chanced upon a Shu Uemura outlet and got myself the Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil.
At the moment, Shu Uemura is having a promotion in stores and I came home with some freebies! I was disappointed though, because when I asked the sales assistant if the emulsion contained alcohol, she said, “No.” But guess what? I checked the ingredient list when I got home and found behenyl alcohol and benzyl alcohol listed in it. Seriously, I’ve had my fair share of beauty and spa personnel who don’t know what ingredients the products they sell contain. What’s worse is that they assume they know something and end up telling customers the wrong information. The next time this happens, I’m going to teach them proper! Grr.
Anyway, my first impression of the cleansing oil is that it’s really light. It’s not as viscous as the other cleansing oils and it seems to remove makeup as well as the others. I’ll be using it soon and if possible, I’ll do a review on it!
