Hey ho, it’s started snowing in France! I know the weather’s pretty crazy in America, what with the hurricane and tsunami and all, but I hope that all of you over there are safe and that staying indoors isn’t getting you down. By the way, is voting affected by the bad weather conditions?
Anyhow, today I present to you 5 red lip colours that you can wear for fall and winter! I was ransacking my mini makeup wardrobe the other day and realised that I had a few items that I’d totally forgot about! And so lo and behold, there are five deep shades that I think anyone can wear and look good in. Here they are, with swatches to compare.

Diva is a deep, wine red that veers towards a purple; It works great as a lip stain. Burgundy is a nice, blue-toned red with a creamy finish. Ravish is the most sheer lippie of the five and goes on extremely smoothly. Ruby is a blood red gloss that has relatively good staying power for a gloss. Plum Perfect is a dark mauve shade, something more muted and sombre compared to the rest.

The burberry blood gloss looks the most interesting for me! But i wonder if it has that tacky sticky feeling that some glosses have.. I prefer water-based, not wax based.

The Burberry gloss isn't the sticky kind, but yet it is extremely glossy, which is what makes it a favourite of mine.
(Usually, the "sticky" glosses are shinier and more reflective than the "non-sticky" ones, and they also stay on longer. However, the "sticky" ones are trickier to use because to get the maximum effect, the wearer shouldn't purse their lips or have too much contact between the upper and lower lips often. So it depends on what effect you prefer and the habits you have!)
