Hello! It’s been some time since I last wrote a personal note of some sort on the blog. I suppose it’s due time I told you a small part of my current life story. As some of you know by now, I am a teacher and because it’s June, it’s the mid-year holiday for schools here. I’m taking some time off from school-related stuff (teachers in Singapore are way overworked), hoping that I’d have much more time for the blog. Well, I kind of do but at the moment, there are quite a few things going on in my life as well!
First up, I am getting my own room at home! If you’ve been following my tweets, you’d have read about me cleaning up the house almost every day. It’s been going on for weeks now, and everything should be done pretty soon. I’ve a brand new room with new furniture, such as curtains; a bed; tables and a wardrobe, which I designed myself. The theme is pretty simple actually, no frills, no fancy chandelier, no wallpaper (though I did fiddle with the idea). I might do a room tour when it’s all ready!
I also went to touch up my fillers two days ago. This time I picked another clinic nearer to home and I’ll be heading there for a review in a couple of weeks. The injection this time was done along the bridge of the entire nose (probably 4 – 5 times), unlike the previous time when it was just done just once at the tip. The result? I got some slight bruising but my nose hasn’t swelled half as much as it did the other time round. The doctor did recommend using the remaining fillers for the dents under my eye bags and along my smile lines but I guess that’s all just part of ageing. Besides, I don’t have any issue with them. He was very professional and did not push anything, and to be honest, I’d be surprised if he hadn’t suggested that. He is, after all, an aesthetics doctor and to be professional, it’s only natural that he wants to do a good, complete job with every patient. Also, nobody, except for my sister, has noticed my bruise.

At the clinic, I saw some Jane Iredale products on sale. Have any of you tried the brand before? Any reviews to share?
Finally, I’d just like to thank everybody who participated in my latest giveaway, where someone won herself a Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Soft & Sexy Eye Shadow Collection palette. It was heartwarming to read some of your comments and I’m really grateful to those of you who had taken the time to write them. I might do another giveaway soon, so if you have any ideas on what you might like to see up for grabs, do let me know!
P.S. By the way, the picture right at the top is of me with snorkelling gear at Bamboo Island, one of the little islands surrounding Phi Phi Island. I just wanted to show everyone what I meant when I said that we had the entire beach to ourselves. This picture is my favourite one from the trip and was taken in 2009.
