What is a girl to do when she comes across a heart-melting, brow-upturning collection of the most beautiful brushes she’s ever come across? The Sigma Extravaganza Copper Kit is an assortment of 29 of the brand’s best-selling brushes, complete with a makeover that instantly amps up the glam factor of any girl’s powder room!
I fell in love with these brushes when they launched as part of Sigma’s 5-year anniversary celebrations. Not only are the brushes made with the usual Sigma synthetic bristles (so it’s animal-friendly), they also come in 100% pure copper ferrules atop sleek, black handles. I personally use Sigma brushes on a day-to-day basis and find them to be quite reliable, soft and handy. If you like, you can check out my review of the Sigma Mrs. Bunny Travel Kit.
The Flat Kabuki F80 is my current go-to brush for my daily foundation application (get it here on Luxola). The bristles are dense, which allows me to really pack my foundation on, and at the same time they’re really soft to the touch, so they don’t prick me. The handle fits nicely into my grasp, which allows me to really pack my foundation on. Because the bristles are man-made, product does not get stuck on the brush itself, making washing an easier task.
{On a side note, I found this article that compares natural and synthetic fibre brushes that you might find helpful.}

Mallika from Luxola also dropped me one of Sigma’s newest addition – the Gel Eye Liner in Unexpected.
Unexpected is a grey eyeliner that some people might find a trick to wear. But grey is a trend that’s quickly catching on, and the best way to wear this shade on your eyes is a thin line on the upper lids, smudged out softly either with your own fingers or a smudge brush like the E21. I wore this on my recent staycation (more about that in my next post!) and it lasted me a whole day without creasing or unwanted smudging. Granted, my lids aren’t especially oily. There are a total of 6 shades in the eyeliner range, and you can find them here.
So, what do you think of this range of brushes and the new eyeliners from Sigma? Would you be updating your dresser anytime soon?
