Everyone has a place in this world where they feel most at home. Mine is the beach. Although not any beach can cut it for me, having one is better than not having any.
Which is why if you’re a beach lover like me, you need to check out the DBS Marina Regatta 2017 this coming 1-4 June, happening on The Promontory at Marina Bay. It’s the only time in the year where you’ll catch thrilling dragon boating races from the sidelines, sip on cocktails at an urban beach and have mid-day skincare touch-ups all in one place.
I got to explore some of the local social enterprises that will be present at the event, and I reveal my goodie bag contents from the press preview in the video below. Find out more about how you can get natural dye henna, skincare from Dr. Belmeur and more while soaking in the sun!
Although the main attraction of the DBS Marina Regatta is always the races, I’m most excited about the Ultra countdown party, happening on 2 & 3 June. Tickets are going for only $15 each (one free drink included), which is such a reasonable fare compared to the full blown party event.
The second part I’m most drawn to is the free exercise sessions by Lululemon’s partners, Yoga+, Eat Train Love, and WeBarre, on 3 & 4 June. If I could skip French class, I’d definitely have gone for the Webarre Signature Multi-Level with WeBarre at 11am on the 3rd at the Play Dome (also because I don’t do yoga and would probably look like a flailing chicken at the yoga sessions).
But the last I checked, the slots are fully booked, so the next best thing to a good, fun workout is fighting it out on Battle Bay. If you emerge victorious, you’ll win up to S$3000 cash so what’s not to like?
