I am in love! If there’s one thing that never fails to get me excited, it’s new makeup. New as in, newly bought.
There aren’t many reviews of the Hermes lipsticks around, so I thought I’d do it. I bought a Rouge Hermès Satin Lipstick and a Rose Hermès Rosy Lip Enhancer off the Hermès Singapore website. I had been surfing around online and was surprised to find that Hermès had a local online boutique that offered free delivery. I bought my stuff from there, hoping to receive some cool orange Hermès box but it wasn’t to be. Turns out that fragrances and makeup don’t come with that (it’s stated on the website but I wanted to try my luck), so feel free to order off any site that is a better deal for you (membership perks, free shipping etc). I personally prefer Harrods and Selfridges.
I filmed a quick haul video so you can look at the packaging and products up close. Watch it below!
The packaging is so sleek and I specifically chose these colours because I like how the pink, gold and white go so well together. It’s kind of like buying your first designer bag, where you’d pick a colour that fits with most of your outfits – the more colourful, statement-making ones can come after.
These lipsticks are amazing. My lips are allergic to petroleum/petrolatum and coconut oil, so the fact that neither of these contain that convinced me to get them (full ingredient lists below).
ROUGE HERMÈS SATIN LIPSTICK:
This lipstick obviously has a satiny finish, and isn’t mask-proof (unlike these drugstore ones that I blogged about). That doesn’t stop me from wearing it because the colour is gorgeous. I got Beige Tadelakt because I wanted something brighter than normal (but not too bright), not matte, and in a shade that’s not my usual pinks/neutrals (i.e. more summery and fun). The lipstick goes on smoothly and is pigmented enough for me. Definitely a colour I’ll be wearing a lot more these days.

ROSE HERMÈS ROSY LIP ENHANCER:
I got this in shade Rose d’Eté. Honestly though, the colour is so sheer, I don’t think it would have mattered which shade I actually bought. It’s a lip balm and not a lipstick. I’ve been so unsuccessful searching for a lip balm which doesn’t give me an allergic reaction for the past few years that I’ve given up searching altogether, and I’ve been using lip glosses ever since. Even at night to bed.
But this product is a game changer for me because it gives me soft plush lips and no allergy! It leaves my lips feeling so soft and non-sticky/non-tacky upon application. It also has a light scent that acts very mysteriously. You can kind of smell it from a short distance away but the intensity doesn’t increase when you go closer. You’ll have to try it for yourself to see what I mean. It is definitely pricey for a lip balm but I’d rather pay $100 for one that works (And is pretty. And is Hermès.) than $100 for 6-8 different ones which all don’t work.
