The Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is one must-have skincare item I really can’t live without. I bring it everywhere with me when I travel, even if it’s for an overnight stay somewhere other than home. Look, I’ve got it in so many different sizes!
I discovered this when my sister recommended it to me, after I mentioned I was looking for an alternative to the Avene Tolerance Extremely Gentle Cleanser (used to be called the Extremely Gentle Gel Cleanser) many years ago. Ever since I switched, I’ve been a faithful user of the cleanser and haven’t found anything else that worked better or just as well.
My skin is sensitive to alcohol and foam. Although the product doesn’t mention that it’s foam-free, I find it almost doesn’t lather. It smells lightly of a clean scent and removes minimal makeup well. For me, I use only some light liquid concealer, blush, contour powder, brow pencil and a light dusting of compact foundation over my face. For my eyes, this cleanser removes eyeshadow, glitter eye shadow and crayon eye liner, though you’d have to scrub a little more with your fingers to get rid of the eye liner. I rarely use mascara, so I can’t really comment on its effectiveness there.
The only downside of this cleanser is its price. It’s the kind of price that would make your husbands scared to touch or use it because it costs like gold. The 150ml tube, which is a size I recommend for starters if you’re new to the brand, costs S$64. If you’re a fan of Fresh, you’d fork out S$81 for the 250ml limited edition tubes (lovely designs from time to time) and/or S$126 for the 400ml jumbo version.
You can also get the jumbo size on Lookfantastic at $101 here (use my code ROXANNE-REE for S$33 off your first order of any product on the website).
I’m a huge believer of only keeping or using things at home that benefit you in at least some way. You can be sure that the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser will remain a big staple in my bathroom and daily/nightly routine for many more years to come.
