It’s so easy to get distracted when you’re doing Christmas shopping that’s meant for others. How can you not, when you chance upon a product that pushes all the right buttons?
I came across this MAC PEARLGLIDE INTENSE EYE LINER IN PETROL BLUE, swatched it on the back of my hand and I was completely sold. I also did a little dance inside my head at having found such a great product. So good, in fact, that I couldn’t have let it pass! How did it take me so long to find this?
Now, MAC is a brand I grew up with and over the years, it has had some hits and misses. And this eyeliner is definitely a hit.
The eyeliner glides on super smoothly onto my eyelids (no tugging of the skin) and the colour is a perfect deep, dark, intense blue with blue sparkles. A 12-hour wear later and it still doesn’t smudge. No scent, no allergic reactions, just pure pigment that comes off easily with my trusty oil-based L’Oreal makeup remover. For a crayon eyeliner, it does exactly what it’s supposed to and there’s nothing about it I can complain about.

You can wear this shade with any dark smokey eye makeup, on its own or even as a base for a dark eye colour. You can also use it when wearing navy eyeshadow. I use this in one of my beauty tutorials, and you can see it in close-up action here.
