Hair care is every bit as important as skin care. This is why not only do I select the right type of shampoo, I also use a hair serum and an oil for the ends. I bought this hair oil from Skinfood for SG$18.50 and have used it a few times. I must say, I am actually quite impressed by the results, especially since Skinfood isn’t a brand that exclusively specialises in hair care products like Paul Mitchell or Schwarzkopf.
The bottle is small but it is almost full with product (I used it a few times before taking the picture above). It looks green on the outside but that’s just packaging. The oil itself is colourless, like any other hair oil. It contains well-refined extra virgin olive oil, which is extremely well absorbed by my towel-dried hair and does not leave behind a residue. Once applied, I don’t get oil remaining on my palms and neither does my hair feel oily afterwards – just silky smooth ends. I apply this once a day after shower and my hair ends remain tangle-free for the rest of the day. A full pump is more than enough even for my hair length, as you only need a little bit of it for the ends. That’s why I use about half to three quarters a pump each time.
The oil smells good but the fragrance does not last long. The bottle is made of plastic so you don’t have to worry about breaking it. Would I buy this again? Yes I will.
