Latest Obsession: YSL’s La Parisienne à l’Extrême

La Parisienne à l’Extrême is YSL’s more intense version of the original, La Parisienne. I got a whiff of this while shopping with the girls and I liked it. It doesn’t smell as sweet and “fruity” (as a friend described it) as Miss Dior Cherie and is more sexy.

I like the bottle – the size of it and the design. The way a gradient is used for the purple from top to bottom. The leather on the cap. The play of colours – gold, black, purple and transparency. This is one classy and sensual perfume that doesn’t smell too perfumy and chemical, you know, like those Chanel ones. If I am allowed to splurge on myself, I’d definitely get this rather than Miss Dior Cherie, which was on my wishlist before I saw this. But with a new Dior Nude Liquid Foundation, I think that’s going to burn a hole in my pocket. So for now, I shall only dream of this while I sleep.
