Paris is a wonderful city for shopping, which is no wonder it’s the fashion capital of France. It’s the Milan of Italy, the New York of America and the London of the UK. In this entry, you will find a list of vintage stores that I have compiled. They can be found all over Paris and not just in the main district of the city. These stores have been visited by tourists over the years and have proven to stock extremely good finds, ranging from budget and second hand goods to older, vintage designer goods. Now let’s begin the hunt!

1) Didier Ludot
This is a store that stocks past designer collections. Here, you can find ready-to-wear and haute couture in the same store. Some brands include Dior, Christian Lacroix, Balmain, YSL, Hermès, Madame Grès and Chanel. Other than clothes, you’ll also find accessories and jewellery. Prices here are sky high and can amount to 4 figures.

Another famous vintage store in the first district is Gabrielle Geppert, which has been featured in magazines like Vogue and Elle alike. The store houses a collection of Hermès bags that are totally drool-worthy. It’s definitely a nice touch to a day at the nearby Louvre.

4) Kiliwatch
Denim shorts, foulards, shoes, belts, berets… you name it, you have it at Kiliwatch. The focus isn’t on designer goods but more on vintage second hand goods. Watch the hilarious but short introduction of the store by Atmen Kelif here. Kili-WAAATCH!

5) Coiffeur Vintage a.k.a. Vintage Desire
New stock arrives once or twice a week and pieces here are very unique so there is never an agglomeration of similar things that remain unsold. Prices are relatively low (you can get a fur coat for 50€). If you get hungry while sifting through the racks, try the famous falafels a few doors down.
32 Rue des Rosiers 75004 Paris
01.40.27.04.98
M° Saint Paul
Opening hours: Mondays – Sundays 11a.m. – 9p.m.
If you’re into boots, purses, leather jackets and bags, Free ‘P’ Star could be the place to go to. It’s a tiny store but it’s filled with vintage goodies you don’t want to miss. There aren’t any designer goods here, just good ol’ vintage pieces that won’t hurt your wallet.
8 Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie 75004 Paris

M° Rambuteau, Hotel de Ville, Saint Paul
Opening hours: Mondays – Saturdays 12p.m. – 10p.m., Sundays 2p.m. – 10p.m.
7) Fripes Star
Fripes is also owned by Free ‘P’ Star. The store is larger but also chocked full of affordable vintage goodies. Dresses, shoes and boots start from 10€ while shirts and pullovers start from 5€. There isn’t (or rarely are) anything older than the 1980s but if you’re looking for vintage dresses, this would be heaven.

9) Come on Eileen
Aside from the tacky exterior, Come on Eileen has various vintage items ranging from budget clothing to vintage YSL and Balmain pieces. The store may not look like much but if you take the stairs down to the basement, you’ll find a much larger space with many more things to see and touch (and maybe eventually buy).

01.43.38.12.11
M° Bastille, Breguet Sabin
