I bought a new facial cleanser from Kiwi Skinfood & Makeup. I’d wanted to get the Seaweed Cleansing Gel but they were still out of stock so I bought this one instead (my Clarins one wasn’t working well – review coming in a bit).

As usual, the people at Kiwi were really generous and on top of this facial foam and a Snow Tea Mask Sheet that I ordered, they also gave me a pressed powder eyeshadow and a White Chocolate Mask Sheet! I think they secretly read my blog. LOL.
I was out of town from Wednesday night till Monday morning and I attended Musilac 2011 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. That was three consecutive evenings + nights of outdoor concerts and partying. I needed it! For those of you who don’t know what Musilac is, it is a series of outdoor concerts by various artists held over the course of a few days, each day starting at about 3pm and the last performance ending at about 2-3am. It’s held annually at Aix les Bains, a small town in France known for its thermal spas. Tickets were 120€ per person for the whole event. The food there was expensive too: 3€ for a barquette de frites biologiques (organic fries).
With ear plugs that cost 10€.
On the first night, it was back to back of awesome performances: Santana, followed by the Ting Tings, followed by the Scissor Sisters (my favourite performance) and finally the Bloody Beetroots. Wow. Smashing. On the second night, I really liked the performance by the Chemical Brothers. Well, it wasn’t so much of a performance than a DJ stance with more than an hour of non-stop electro partying. The third night was a little too French for me, what with Cocoon, Ben Harper and Callie. Cocoon and Ben Harper aren’t French but their music belong to the genres that the French like. Callie was a great entertainer and he jumped onto the crowd more than once (no, the audience didn’t avoid him). Ben Harper was the sole performer who drew the largest crowd out of all the three nights. It was so crowded that I couldn’t make it to the front and had to make do with watching one of the big screens placed maybe 500m away from the stage.
I had a great time but now it’s back to the daily hum drum we call life. By the way, I am now the official beauty editor of Fever Avenue, a website based in Singapore!
