The Innisfree Olive Real Eye Cream.
If you’ve read The Little Prince and felt that it was such a wonderful children’s book, you need to read it again. I admit, I never made it three quarters through because it gave me a headache trying to understand all those analogies and innuendos. I mean, come on. Baobab trees representing the spread of Nazism? Man, that’s deep. But maybe not as deep as some of the valleys under our sombre eye bags.
Whether the Innisfree Olive Real Eye Cream helps reduce puffiness (under our eyes, where else?), I cannot tell. But that’s only because as a twice-daily eye cream user with good genetics and who loves her beauty sleep, I do not have eye bags. I do, however, suffer from dark circles from time to time, and fine lines have started to show up.
Initially, I was a little worried about switching from my Holy Grail SK-II Skin Signature Eye Cream and although the Innisfree Olive Real Eye Cream did not take my dark circles away, it did help in other areas.

The eye cream is made from natural ingredients and not only that – the box it comes in is made from 100% recycled paper and the graphics and words on it are printed with soy ink. That’s got to be a first.

A whole little tub of moisturising goodness.
The eye cream is very moisturising and feels very thick to the touch. Just a tiny bit is enough to spread over the under eye area. You need to be careful not to apply too much of it, especially if you’re going to layer makeup over, as it may cause your foundation to crease. It smells heavenly, as most Korean skincare products do, and this makes applying it a pleasure.
Although it did help with some of my fine lines, it did nothing for my dark circles. I suppose my body clock may be trying to adjust to the biphasic sleeping pattern I’m currently trying out but truth be told, I’ve been having problems with shady undereyes for quite some time.
I wouldn’t recommend this cream if you are looking for something really intensive or anti-aging but if you’re just starting out on skincare, searching for something basic, or are in your teens or early twenties, you could give it a try. Remember: It’s important to stick to the right skincare for your age!
