Do you know what 3CE means? I did a quick check on their website, and deduced that 3 Concept Eyes stands for 3 different types of attractive eye looks, which can be achieved by focusing on the 3 colours – pink, orange and beige.
I first came across this brand on the internet, when some bloggers and Instagrammers started sharing their love for the products. It wasn’t till I got to the flagship Stylenanda store in Seoul this winter that I actually came into contact with their makeup.
The store itself is quite interesting. It’s not like the normal pick-what-you-like-and-pay-at-the-counter. Each person is given a number tag, and you have to tell any sales girl around the store the shade and quantity of any product you want. They then transfer your request to the backend storeroom and when you’re done, just hand over your number tag at the cashier and they’ll give you all the products that you’ve asked for. While I found this to be a good idea, especially since you don’t have to carry the items while you shop, it got quite messy when I was there as it was crowded. So, it’s always a good idea to remember what you asked for!
That said, I came home with a grand total of THREE items. Not a lot by a beauty blogger’s standards but considering how much I’d already spent on the trip, three is a good start. The first haul was the 3CE Lip Lacquer in Super Coral. The second, a 3CE Lip Colour in HALA and finally, the third, a nail lacquer (which I won’t feature today).
I love this colour! It’s highly pigmented for a gloss, and the amount of time it stays on the lips is crazy. I wore this for a day, and I only had to touch up once. It’s a happy coral shade that comes with a doe foot applicator.
TIP: The trick to using applicators like this is to add the gloss to the inside of the lips first before moving on to the edges. This is so that you don’t get too much product along the perimeter of your lips, and your look will be cleaner.
HALA (#608) is my current favourite lipstick shade (Betty Bright, I still like you). To be honest, I bought this lippie because of the pink packaging. However, it is yet again another super pigmented lip product from 3CE that lasted me throughout the day! Even after eating, this colour stays on strong with minimal wear-off! It’s a nice yellow-toned pink, so any Asian should be able to pull this off. It’s less glossy and shiny than the lip lacquer and it doesn’t dry my lips out. The best part about both products is that my super sensitive lips have not had any allergic reaction to them!
You can check out the entire 3CE brand on the Stylenanda website. The Lip Colour is priced at USD20 each, while the Lip Lacquer is priced at USD21 each. Pretty affordable, I’d say, for products that deliver. I love them!
Stay pretty in pink,
Roxanne
