I’ve been putting off getting a pair of jeans for the longest time ever. Till today, I only owned one pair, simply because Singapore’s way too hot and humid for jeans! The only time I ever wear them besides dress-down work days are when it’s raining. My previous pair is from Topshop and has been worn too many times to count. Now that holes are starting to form at the seams, it’s really time to get a new one.
This was my outfit for this year’s Chinese New Year celebrations. Who says you can’t rock denim for visiting? Dressing it up with sequins, pumps, gold and crystals really amps up the glam factor. My earrings-and-necklace set were a gift from Mr. Ratatouille during Valentine’s Day this year, just in time for Chinese New Year. Layering it over my daily necklace from Lee Hwa‘s Destinée range is easy to pull off because both pendants are of an appropriate size for stacking.
And can we talk a bit about the location of today’s shoot? This was at Mount Faber, one of Singapore’s iconic must-visit places (in the spirit of SG50). If you’re looking to get a bird’s eye view of Singapore from somewhere filled with flora and fauna and less crowds, this is the place to go. Kudos also to Mr. Ratatouille, who managed to take such great shots and make everything look so tranquil!
How about you? How do you wear denim?
Stay classy,
Roxanne
