It’s not often that you find a product that delivers what it promises to. And when it happens, you just wish it would never be discontinued. That’s what I currently feel towards the Aroma Bar Singapore range of products that I received one afternoon and haven’t stopped using since.
Founded in 2012 in Singapore by local aromatherapist Sarah C., Aroma Bar Singapore features products that are hand-blended and 100% natural. The best part is that they deliver results (or at least the ones I tried). Let’s take a look at the Rose Geranium Magnolia Extra Rich Body Butter.
If you’ve ever wanted to feel as if you’re being pampered at a luxurious spa, while you’re at home and have some time to spare, apply this body butter after a relaxing shower. This product smells absolutely gorgeous (if smells can be gorgeous) and works great on targeted areas of your skin. Its consistency is more like a solid balm, so it might be a bit challenging to spread it all over your body. I recommend using this on areas such as your elbows, fingertips or cuticles, the heels of your feet and around the toes.
The ingredients in this body butter cannot be more natural either. Check it out.
Ingredient List
Organic Oils of Shea Butter, Virgin Coconut*, Sweet Almond, Olive, Jojoba* and Neem; Essential Oils of Magnolia, Lavender*, Rose Geranium*, Palmarosa* and Rosemary Extract.
Ingredients marked * are certified organic.
At the bottom of the list of ingredients is printed the batch number of the product and the expiry date. I’ve not come across many products that inform you of the expiry date, and this little snippet of information is very welcomed indeed.
Let’s take a look at the Lavender Rosemary Rejuvenating Shampoo and Conditioner duo.
I need to confess: I love the conditioner. As you probably already know, my hair went through a twice-in-a-row bleach session some months back and up till now, I hadn’t managed to get it all smooth, silky and natural-looking again. But this conditioner improved the state of my hair in just one usage. In short, I’m impressed.
The plastic packaging is unassuming, which may leave you with low expectations of the product it holds. But if you have S$17 to spare, you need to give this a try. It has a light scent but it doesn’t linger on in your hair after washing. And it really works.

The bottle originally comes with a screwed bottle cap but a pump cap is also included in the package. Of course, I prefer pumps because they’re more convenient to use and you can also lock them close when taking them for travels.
Since we’re at it, I’d like to also recommend their Rose Geranium Lip Smoothie – Romance Me. As a lip balm, it’s by far the most moisturising lip balm I’ve ever used (seriously not kidding) and though it does not have sun protection of any sort, it does not give me an eczema breakout, nor flaky lips, when I use it as my nightly lip balm. I’m this close to scattering glitter confetti all around.
