The thing about Hanoi is that it’s way too hot! It’s a pretty crowded city with crazy traffic that knows no direction. If you do a lot of walking in the city, you’ll have to watch where you’re going.
But it’s also got its charms. Like distinctly thick Vietnamese coffee and the charming French Quarter to the south of the lake. Walking through the city means you’ll need your trusty shades and a good pair of sandals that’s easy to slip into. Some sequins make it seem like you did put some effort into dressing up, though I must have you know that I took nary minute for this. And shorts. I would die without shorts.
