The Siren Lipstick from Vapour Organic Beauty each contains 70% of ingredients that have been certified organic and 30% of natural mineral pigments and vitamins. As stated in the website, its new botanical infusion has “myrrh, rose buds, healing lemon balm, antioxidant pomegranate, soothing jojoba oil and essential fatty acid rich camilina oil.” All these help to moisturise and condition the lips and the absence of petroleum and chemicals ensure that we don’t ingest toxins while having some colour on to brighten up our day.
The two shades that I own are 418 Possess and 404 Ravish, a very wearable pink and rich red respectively. The lipsticks have a flattened tip unlike other normal lipsticks, which are slanted. They leave a creamy sheen after application but don’t glide as smoothly as I like them to. They both smell fruity, kind of like passionfruit. I like it even though the scent doesn’t last long. The lipsticks are highly pigmented and I get almost the same shade on the top and bottom lips even without the use of a lip concealor underneath (my upper lip is darker). The colour doesn’t stay on for long though, and it comes off when I eat or drink. Touching up is a must if you’re planning to wear it for an entire day.
The best part about this product is that it doesn’t trigger an eczema outbreak! I’m so glad to have finally found a lip product that suits me ever since I got my first round of eczema. I’ve not touched all my other lip products since then because I’m afraid to. Even my YSL Rouge Volupté, which was my holy grail of lip products for a long period of time, breaks me out now. So the fact that the Vapour Organic Beauty Siren Lipstick doesn’t, says a lot about the ingredient makeup inside it and it’s all good.
I prefer Possess to Ravish because it’s a more wearable shade, looks natural and suits my skin tone well. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the Siren Lipstick and will recommend it to everyone. It’s nothing super awesome but for an organic product that involves reduced manufacturing waste and no animal testing, it’s definitely worth a mention and a keen eye.

I miss New York like crazy and would love to go back there again. All the hustle and bustle that doesn’t die down at night. It can get a tad lonely and I feel like everyone there’s cold sometimes but I still like it all the same. After all, where would fashion be if not for New York?
