It’s officially the final month of 2011. The holidays are drawing near. I can’t help feeling festive right now! If you’re still on the hunt for lovely Christmas presents for gift giving later on in the month, take a look at what I’ve picked out for you, all categorised into Face, Eyes, Lips, Tools, Skincare & Body Care!
Face:
Makeup always starts with the basics and I am a fervent supporter of Dior and Shu Uemurain this case. The Diorskin Nude Fluid Foundation – Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup and Diorskin Forever Compact Foundation are two of my favourite Dior products that are definitely worth checking out. Shu Uemura’s Face Architect Glow Enhancing Powder Foundation is also a great buy. I’m also in love with blushes from Shu Uemura’s Glow On Blush in M Peach 43B and Clinique‘s Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Precious Posy. For cheaper alternatives, try the Natural Radiance Blusher in Blushing and the Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder from e.l.f. Cosmetics. To hide blemishes, Amazing Cosmetics‘ Amazing Concealor would be a good bet.
Eyes:
Urban Decay‘s 24/7 Glide-on Liners are a must for every eyeliner girl out there. They are my current favourite liners because not only are they very pigmented, they also last. Take a look at the 24/7 Travel-Size Eye Pencil Set of 5 and the Urban Decay Primer Potion, which is a wonderful, effective eyeshadow primer. The Mie Mini Soft Touch Shadow Pencil Set from the Modern Kabuki Holiday Collection at NARS works as a great holiday gift set as well. The latest from M.A.C. is Miss Piggy for M.A.C. eyeshadow, a lovely pink for the everyday girl. BH Cosmetics‘ 88 Color Matte Palette could also be something perfect. Where mascara is concerned, I’m in love with the Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara. If you’re looking for false lashes, Ardell‘s 136 Black or their Lash Accents 301 give a natural looking finish. If you haven’t found the right powder for your brows, I recommend Anastasia‘s popular Brow Powder Duo.
Lips:
A personal favourite lipstick is YSL‘s Rouge Volupte Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15 in Nude Beige. Gosh Cosmetics‘ Light ‘N Shine Lip Glaze in 01 White . If you’re looking to give a “lip set,” include Baby Lips SPF 20 Lip Moisturising Balm by Maybelline as well, as it contains SPF and leaves the lips feeling naturally soft all day long. NARS‘ Kudoki Kabuki Lip Set makes for a great romantic present for someone who’s into limited edition items.
Tools:
I’m currently lemming over e.l.f. Cosmetics‘ 24K Eyelash Essentials Collection Set, especially since it’s a limited edition. Sigma Beauty will be launching their Extravaganza Face Kit and the Extravaganza Complete Kit come December 12th and 19th. You can also take a look at Sigma Beauty’s Dry’n Shape, a gift for someone who’s got lots of brushes to deal with in life. Want something more environmentally friendly? Check out EcoTools‘ Mineral Brush Set.
Skincare & Body Care:
An awesome way to wow someone is to get them Clarisonic‘s Mia 2. Clinique‘s 3 Step Skin Care Sets and Skinfood‘s Grapeseed Oil Anti-Wrinkle Neck Cream and Gold Caviar Mask Sheets are worth a buy too. For something to remove makeup, try Shu Uemura‘s White Recovery EX+ Brightening Cleansing Oil Advanced Formula from the Wong Kar Wai for Shu Uemura 2011 Holiday Collection. Crabtree & Evelyn‘s new Evelyn Rose Jewelry Gift Box and Rosewater Essentials set make for great Christmas presents if you’re looking to win the heart of your future mother-in-law. You can also take your pick from Molton Brown‘s Crystalline Body Wash Gift Set or their Electro Men’s Grooming Gift Set (for the boyfriend, maybe).
TODAY’S RANDOM
I think the reason this hamper costs SGD$1470 is that it consists of a Paris Teabag Chest. Loving this!
