Today I’ll be featuring how to transform a “Day” look into a “Night” one just with one eyeshadow palette and two different lipstick shades. The eyeshadow palette in question is Maybelline’s Hyper Diamonds Eyeshadow Palette. I received this in the mail from the people at Maybelline Singapore and everything printed at the bottom of the palette is written in Japanese – ingredients included – except maybe for “GD-1,” which is the palette name. There are 8 different such palettes in all and you can check them out at the Japanese website. Here’s the transformation from day to night:
For Face: Makeup Forever’s Multi Loose Powder and Estee Lauder’s Signature Silky Powder Blush in 02 Pink Kiss.
For Eyes (Day): Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Stash and Corrupt, the middle three shades of Maybelline’s Hyper Diamonds Eyeshadow Palette in GD-1 and Maybelline’s Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara.
For Eyes (Night): Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Stash and Corrupt, all five shades of Maybelline’s Hyper Diamonds Eyeshadow Palette in GD-1 and Maybelline’s Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara.
For Brows: Shade J4 of my Coastal Scents 88 Original Matte Palette.
For Lips (Day): Korres’ Colourless Mandarin Lip Butter Stick SPF 15 and YSL’s Rouge Volupté in 01 Nude Beige.
For Lips (Night): Maybelline’s Baby Lips Lip Balm in Energizing Orange and M.A.C.’s lipstick in A69 Diva (Matte).
Basically, the difference between the two looks is that I added darker colours to my eyes and lips for the “Night” look. I also lined the bottom eyelids with the darkest shade of the eyeshadow palette using the smaller end of the sponge applicator provided. I apologise for the crappy self shots because I still haven’t saved enough for a good Nikon. So, which of the two looks do you prefer?
